First Wedding

Well, I finally had an opportunity to shoot a wedding as an assistant and I'm quite sure it's one of the funnest things I have ever done. I love wedding atmospheres, families, love, dedication, friends and the good times. It is a joy to meet new people, learn something about them, and become a small corner of their lives. There's something special about a wedding that most of the world doesn't care about, but is so important to the group of people at the wedding; and I feel the only ways to know it are to be a part of it, or to have been in your own wedding. I cant put my finger on it, and I couldn't help but feel a bit nostalgic during the dancing, as I reflected on my wedding day just over a year ago. This weekend, I had the privilege of being one of two photographers that attempt to capture every moment on camera. Tyler does some amazing work, and was kind and great enough to help me along my photography journey; teaching me to shoot in manual mode, location scouting, keeping things simple but elegant, proper lens usage, scheduling...etc...etc...It was a great experience, and extremely helpful.
